DshCleoCatCleo is a friendly, black and white female cat. The last month has been very stressful for her where her owners gave her to a friend and the friend couldn’t look after her so she came to us. We believe her to be approx 5 years old, during her health check at the vets it has been detected that she has a slight heart murmur but this doesn’t affect her at all and the vet says she needs no medication for it. The only other problem is she does have a flea allergy so will needed to be de-flead regularly to prevent her skin becoming itchy. She is a large friendly girl who enjoys a fuss, she is good with other cats and has a nice friendly personality. Cleo is fully vaccinated, been micro chipped, neutered, wormed and de-flead. We ask for a donation of £65 per cat. For more information or to arrange an appointment to view, Contact Penny at the cattery on 01634 294831 ...F3-6Click here to see larger image of Cleo
DshDenzil and BoycieCatDenzil and Boycie are lucky to be with us after they had been dumped in the dustbin outside the cattery with their siblings. They were lucky to be found after they were thrown in the large skip bin, they had fallen right to the bottom of the bin under all the sacks of cat waste. It was a lucky chance when another bag of rubbish was emptied into the bin one kitten was seen and after removing all the black bags out of the bin the other three were found. The fate of these kittens could have been a lot different as the bin man were due to empty the skip bin and they could have been tipped into the back of a dust cart. They say black cats are lucky well these two boys definitely were. They were only about 4-5 weeks when they were dumped, so we think they must have been born in June 2008. These kittens should have still been with their mum when they were dumped and have needed a lot of work as they didn’t know what food was or a litter tray, but they have turned out to be very affectionate and playful. These boys are fully vaccinated, been micro chipped, wormed and de-flead. We ask for a £70 donation per cat under 6 months old. For more information or to arrange an appointment to view, Contact Penny at the cattery on 01634 294831 At 6 months old the kitten(s) will need to come back to our clinic at 174 Walderslade Road, Chatham, Kent to be neutered (this is included in the donation fee) on a Tuesday or Thursday. German ShepherdOur TrudaDog Lovely This is our Truda, Truda is our special dog, she is our meeting and greeting girl. All our new dogs and some cats meet and spend time with our girl. She is good with all dogs, but not afraid to tell them off, and put them in their place, she’s not aggressive, just good at body language. Truda, This is Truda write up from her previous owner. Truda was born February 2000 we celebrate her birthday on the 20th of February. We buy her presents and a small cake for her birthday. Truda loves to play with her toys, balls are her favourite! She loves fetch, but doesn’t always let you have the ball back. It’s best to have two or more, she will let you have it if you say OUT! And sit. Depends what mood she is in whether she will let you have the ball back. She also love the toys that have a ball on the end of a bit of rope, because she loves to play tug of war and she nearly always wins as well. She loves squeaky toys, but they won’t squeak for long. She loves plastic fizzy drink bottles (empty of course, the big ones) she gets the lid off first then squashes flat. Handy for recycling. She also loves bubbles, blowing bubbles is a favourite game she loves to try and catch them. Also loves snow, trying to catch snow balls is a good game that she likes. When it snows. She loves water, hose pip, paddling pool. Difficult to water the garden when she is around! She loves play in a paddling pool but she will tear the bottom if you don’t watch her. She had training, she will sit, shake hands, lay down, fetch, and stay. She is not too good walking on the lead, she pulls. But off the least she is great, she will never walk too far from where you are and is always looking to see where your are and wait for you if your are bit slow. She comes back when called to put her lead back. Just say come! She has never run off. She steals sweets! She loves chocolate! If left lying about she will find and eat! She will eat vegetables, cereals, weetabix, Ready break, toast, and she likes to drink tea. Basically, if you have any food left over at dinner she’ll usually finish it off for you. Whenever you’ve got food it won’t be long before Truda is there, sitting in front of you and giving you her puppy eyes. So when feeding her from your hand you should always say “Nicely” first otherwise she might take the food roughly and accidentally nip your fingers at the same time. And you should always tell her she’s a good girl, when she does something right (example, sits when you tell her to) and usually a forcefully spoken “No” will stop her from doing anything she shouldn’t be doing. She drinks most things, watch your cups and glasses! If left unattended, she will help herself. She will eat most things as well (She doesn’t like stuffing). She does eat cat and dog food as well as main meal, tinned food with mixed biscuits or complete dog food. She is toilet trained, right from a puppy, was very from the start and still is. She is very loving and protective of her family, although she is not good with people she doesn’t know! Or see a lot. I usually put her in the kitchen if we have visitors we don’t see often. She doesn’t like lots of people crowding around her and stroking her, she gets scared and will nip. She has lived with 2 cats she would love to play with them, but they are not interested. She does get jealous if you talk to other animals, she likes all the attention. She is a big baby. She is very loving and playful still acts like a puppy on occasion. My nick name for her is puppy or pup, yes I have spolit her, but she deserves to be, as she was rescued and about 5 weeks old. She has never been a whinny dog or one that cries even as a puppy. She has not bee allowed in bedrooms or sleep on human beds. She likes her own bed or floor (sofa in allowed) Basically she was a very good puppy and behaved very well, quickly toilet trained always went on the newspaper or outside. She is not afraid of fireworks or loud noises. Beware when doing DIY as she is very nosey, not afraid of drills, saws ETC. She will got up to them. Truda is up to date with her vaccinations, received flea and worming treatment, is micro chipped, spayed and adopted with six weeks free insurance. ...F6-9Click here to see larger image of Our Truda

German Shepherd XTobyDogThis is Toby; he is a German Shepherd cross who was brought to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home in June 2004, by an RSPCA Inspector, very emaciated and in extremely poor condition. Toby is a one and a half-year-old black and tan castrated male dog. He is a very friendly affectionate lad with a wonderful temperament. He loves going for walks, is very good off lead and returns immediately when called even if he is bounding around the field. He is a very playful, gentle and sociable creature. He is very clean in his kennel, well behaved and settles quickly when required. He is a laid-back chap that is very loving and tactile and will shake a paw. He has been under the vets supervision since arriving here, having twice weekly baths to improve his skin condition. He is good with other dogs – perhaps needs a few manners! possibly good with cats - would definitely be worth a try and probably okay with children under 10. Can you offer Toby a new loving home where he can get all the love and attention that he deserves? Toby was featured on the breakfast programme on BBC1 on 14th July 2004 ...M<1

GreyhoundAliceDogAlice is a dinky blue girl with the most beautiful amber eyes (believe me, the pictures don’t do them justice!) and she is 4.5 years old. She plays nicely with our other hounds but she will need to be the only dog in her forever home and could happily be built up to spending a few hours on her own. She can be a little unsure of herself at times when she is on her walks so sometimes needs some gentle encouragement to feel confident moving again. She LOVES her food and likes to play 'go find' games with little bits of kibble and sausage! ...F3-6Click here to see larger image of Alice

GreyhoundFlashDogBlack Greyhound male around 2 years old, he has been picked up from one of the Police stations and we have been unable to trace his owners. He was wearing a Blue collar when he was found and he has obviously been well exercised as he has lots of leg muscle, he is friendly with people and he is very clean in his kennel, he does not like Cats but is fine with other dogs, he also travels well in the car. Flash has now been castrated and the difference is amazing, he loved the attention of people and he altogether a calmer hound, we would like to see him Micro chipped before he leaves the kennels. ...M1-3Click here to see larger image of Flash
